Investment & Pricing

I want to capture the present moment of time in your life for you. Whether that means getting some shots of your sweet babies and tots and the newness of those first few years or wrangling a group of your adult children and grandchildren or perhaps some cool portraits of your talented athlete; whatever it is, I'd love to document it for you.

I help you every step of the way, from choosing the perfect location for the vision you have, choosing your outfits and coordinating clothing options, posing you and your family in the most flattering way utilizing both natural light and flash, helping you choose the images you'd like to purchase, editing those images and then delivering them to you. For some, getting their family portraits taken can seem overwhelming and chaotic, but I want it to be the complete opposite for you. I want to have fun with you during your session and make it easy on you so you all can enjoy yourselves and relax and get some great shots of you just being YOU!

My sitting fee starts at $150 for up to five individuals, and is $20 per extra individual. That fee includes the pre-consultation on determining the best location and helping with outfit selections, an hour of shooting the session, a preview consultation where you will come into the studio in Firth to view your images and will choose the ones you'd like to purchase or make into artwork for your home or to gift, and the complete editing of those images.

I have a minimum order of $350, with digital images priced at $25 per image and prints starting at $6.

When the process is over you won't have to think about how you'll display your images or forget about the folder of digital images that resides on your computer and may never get printed or shared. You'll have beautiful prints and art to hang in your home and share with friends and family! Let me help make this simple for you, and I promise, it will be an enjoyable experience from start to finish!

FAQ

Can I print the photos on my own?

Absolutely, you can purchase the digital images from your session which give you printing rights. Digital images start at $25/image

How many people can be in my session?

The standard sitting fee includes up to five individuals for $150, any additional person will be charged $20 each.

What if we don't get any good shots?

You may feel frustrated or defeated after a session, especially with younger children who may be at a phase where they like testing the limits. I always say to wait until you see your gallery, you may be pleasantly surprised at the images we were able to get, even with tantrums or breakdowns occurring during the session! I can't count how many times I've had clients say they didn't think we had gotten one good shot when finished with the shooting portion of the session, but then they come in and see their gallery and have a difficult time trying to decide on which images to purchase because they love so many!!
If after viewing your images you aren't happy with the results I am happy to do a reshoot for you

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot primarily with a Sony mirrorless camera and a 35mm /1.8 lens. I also love my 24-70mm /2.8 and my 70-200 /2.8. I also use a number of different off camera lights, both in studio and on location. Adding that extra pop to your photos over using only natural light is the look I'm trying to achieve!
While I love my gear, I don't think it's necessarily the most important part of doing my job. I could shoot with a ten year old entry level DSLR and achieve similar results to the camera I currently use. Knowing how to shoot in manual mode, how to properly light the subject and getting the client to relax in front of the camera are the three most important parts of my job and in my opinion, and they matter much more than what gear I'm using!

How long will it take to view my images?

Typically I schedule the viewing session for about 7-10 business days after the shoot. You'll come into the studio and get to see the images all in person with me helping you to narrow down your images and figure out what kind of artwork and prints you are needing.

Is there a minimum order amount I have to meet?

Yes, the minimum order amount is $350. I've found that it's not hard to hit that minimum amount especially when you want to display your images on your walls, a coffee table, online or a mixture of all!
